Bassett Bulldogs 2 Village Inn 1
Jason Hudson, Craig Hunt No Scorer Given
Bassett Bulldogs had a lot to prove this week after their cup defeat against Tawny Owl last weekend, so will no doubt be thrilled with this result.

With both teams on level pegging going into half time, it could’ve been anyone’s match, but a second goal from the Bulldogs came just in time to secure them the 3 points.

This puts them joint top of the table with Tawny Owl, the team who knocked them out of the cup last week.

FC Dorcan 2 Swindon Centurians 4
Joe Gentleman, Joel Ofori No Scorers Given
Swindon Centurians, who have struggled to find form of late, defended for their lives this weekend in a well fought match.

With Dorcan FC having not played in the league since back in January, the Centurians took full advantage of their opponents scoring 4 excellent goals.

Despite goals from Dorcan’s, Joe Gentleman and Joel Ofori, there was not a lot else they could do in reply against the Centurians defence.

Spectrum 4 Swindon Spitfires 5
Andy Huggins, Luke Browne x 3 Stephen Hughes, Sam Long, Joshua Archer, Barry Winslow x 2
Swindon Spitfires just took the edge in an incredibly tight game against Spectrum to get themselves back on track.

Spitfires Barry Winslow bagged himself two goals for Spitfires with Stephen Hughes, Sam Long and Joshua Archer also getting on to the score sheet.

Bottom club Spectrum were in with a chance of a crucial win, with a goal from Andy Higgins and a hat-trick from Luke Brown.

However, they just couldn’t keep control towards the end of the match and have now lost 11 games back to back.

Sportz Central 2 Tawny Owl 4
No Scorers Given No Scorers Given
Tawny Owl remain undefeated this season after a 4-2 win against Sportz Central.

Sportz didn’t make it easy however and left Tawny chasing early on, but they soon picked up the pace and got 4 goals past Sportz keeper.

Today’s score put Tawny Owl 4 games in hand at the top of the Premier Division on equal points with Bassett Bulldogs.
