Haydonwick 0 Lower Stratton 4
Steve Norriss, Jamie Saunders x 2, Richard New
Haydon Wick took on Lower Stratton at home this weekend. With their last meeting ending 5-5, both teams were out for the win.

Lower Stratton got off to the better start, scoring early on. A second goal just before half time gave them a comfortable lead going in to the second half.

Haydon Wick came out fighting in the second half but just couldn’t seem to find the back of the net.

Then with 15 minutes to go, they were down to 10 men after losing a player to injury.

Stratton took full advantage and scored another 2 goals, securing themselves the win and a top 3 position in the league.

Marlborough Reserves 6 Moredon FC 0
No Scorers Given
Marlborough controlled the match from the start, denying Moredon any chance to get into the first half of the game.

Moredon made themselves a few chances in the second half but struggled to get past a very strong Marlborough defence.

This was an important game for Marlborough who went into the match being the underdogs.

After their victory they remain in the bottom half of the league but are now just 3 points away from moving above their opponents.

Old Town 1 Lyneham 7
No Scorer Given No Scorers Given
The biggest clash of the weekend was against undefeated Old Town and Lyneham.

The match got off to a relatively even start with both teams getting on to the score sheet. Lyneham just had the edge as they scored their second goal just before half time.

The second half was a completely different story, with Lyneham dominating all areas of the park scoring 5 more goals.

Old Town had no reply and the score ended 7-1 to Lyneham.

This result sees Old Town slip down into 4th place and Lyneham maintain their position at the top.

Sports4Pinehurst 7 Stratton Juniors 1
No Scorers Given Callum Cook
Sports4Pinehurst move into second place after their 7-1 win over Stratton Juniors.

This match up had all the makings of a very tight match, but Stratton failed to gain any footing against a strong Pinehurst side.

Stratton did manage a consolation goal from Callum Cook, but it wasn’t enough and Pinehurst completely dominated them, with goals coming from every angle.

Sports now find themselves in a great position, with 3 games in hand over the current leaders and only a few matches left this season.
