Core Construction 3 Marlborough Reserves 2
No Scorers Given No Scorers Given
Core Construction have moved above Marlborough Reserves this weekend after a hard fought match went their way.

With not much separating the teams, the match did not disappoint. Both sides were fully committed to the win and it could’ve gone either way, but Core got the winning goal and move into 8th position in the league.

Moredon FC 1 Lower Stratton 6
No Scorer Given No Scorers Given
Lower Stratton continue their amazing run with this brilliant defeat over Moredon FC.

Stratton completely dominated every part of the field, not allowing Moredon to gain any ground on them.

Moredon did manage a consolation goal in the second half, but sadly was not enough, and Stratton took all 3 points on offer.

This result is the third heavy defeat for Moredon in the past month and leaves them with just the one win so far this year.

Sports4Pinehurst 6 Chiseldon 2
Ryan Welland, Brad Stanners, Aaron Welland, Jonathan Peachey Score x 3 Luke Robinson, Like Mitchell
Sports4Pinehurst played host to Chiseldon this weekend as they continue to chase the Division One title.

With a hattrick from Jonathan Peachey Score coming early, the match already seemed out of Chiseldon’s grasp. Further goals from Ryan Welland, Brad Stanners and Aaron Welland sealed the deal for Sports, despite goals from Chiseldon’s Luke Robinson and Luke Mitchell.

With only two victories under their belts so far this season, Chissy have a great deal to do in the last couple of weeks.

Stratton Juniors 2 Haydon Wick 2
No Scorers Given Yasuhiro Ohno Paul Tewkesbury
With their previous match ending in a draw, both teams had a lot to prove.

Despite having issues with numbers, Haydon Wick came out fighting, with Yasuhiro Ohno scoring quickly from a Paul Tewkesbury corner.

Stratton chased hard, putting on plenty of pressure. This paid off when a lack of concerntration from Haydon Wick ended in a goal from Stratton in the 44 minute.

It was more of the same in the second half as Haydon scored again off the back of a corner. Taken again by Tewkesbury, the ball was played in to Marc Bailey, who found Tewkesbury’s feet, who in turn, found the back of the net.

Stratton themselves then got a corner, which went straight through the keeper’s hands making it 2-2.

Haydon Wick did manage to score again in the 84th minute but was sadly called offside and the match ended a draw for the second consecutive time.

Wroughton Reserves 1 Lyneham 6
Daryll Chambers No Scorers Given
Lyneham continue with their fantastic season after thrashing Wroughton Reserves 6-1 this weekend.

The away team took full control early on and just continued to improve as the match went on.

Wroughton could only manage a lone goal from Daryll Chambers in response and are sure to be disappointed with this result as they too have had a great run recently.
