Premier Division

Bassett Bulldogs 1 Swindon Spitfires 2
No Scorer Given Phil Legace, Anthony Collett
A shock result this weekend as Swindon Spitfires beat the current league leaders Bassett Bulldogs.

The match was close throughout with neither team really having the upper hand.  The Spitfires just had the edge towards the end of the match and managed to scrape the win.

The result doesn’t effect the current league standings but with Deers Leap and Tawny Owl hot on the Bulldogs heels, it will be a very interesting final couple of weeks.

FC Dorcan 2 Ramsbury 4
Jake Kitchin x 2 Gareth Brown x 3, Max Derrick
Ramsbury denied FC Dorcan another win in a fantastic display of football.

Jake Kitchin’s double was not enough for Dorcan as Gareth Brown put away a superb hattrick for Ramsbury. A solo goal from Max Derrick sealed the deal.

This will be the forth loss in row for Dorcan, so they will really need to pull out all the stops against Village Inn next weekend.

Sportz Central 1 Deers Leap 2
No Scorer Given No Scorers Given
Deers Leap just had the edge over Sportz Central this weekend in a very competitive match up.

Sportz had great pace and made it on to the score sheet first, but Deers really dug in and after a bit of grafting got themselves the equaliser.

A good show of football from Deers got them the winning goal and keeps them in Premier Divison title contention.

This result will be a real confidence booster for Deers, as their last two match were respectively abandoned or postponed.
