SWINDON & DISTRICT FOOTBALL LEAGUE WALL OF FAME
Robert Warman (15th Aug 1938 – 3rd Nov 2018)
Robert (Bob) Warman was born on the 15th August 1938 in London. After he moved to Swindon he dedicated 40 years of his time to the Swindon & District Football League, firstly as a referee, and upon hanging up his boots 10 years ago he joined the District Committee and took over the role as referee Appointment Secretary.
Refereeing in Swindon is a poorer place with Bob’s passing. He was committed to supporting young referees and grassroots football. Bob supported and inspired many to take on refereeing. He was a true legend and a real gentleman in all that was football. You will be sadly missed.
