Council Pitch Hire

Central Swindon North Parish Council are responsible for the Sevenfields, and Southbrook pitches used by the Saturday District League. £65 is the pitch hire fee for the 2022 – 2023 season, and these must be paid for.by 12 noon on the Thursday prior to your Saturday fixture, either with a credit card over the phone, or BACS payments, being the preferred options. If the payment is not received by then it will be deemed by the Council that the booking has not been made and therefore the fixture cannot go ahead.

The Parish council are developing a *website and booking system planned to go live prior to the start of the new season. Here teams can visit the website and make their booking and payment online. Further details will follow. The latest T&C’s below, will be available online for all clubs to digitally sign their acceptance.

Enhanced pitch maintenance to Sevenfields, and Southbrook continues. We hope that with this work and a co-ordinated balance between supply and demand to prevent these pitches being overplayed, will help improve the drainage and playing surfaces..

GENERAL CONDITIONS OF HIRE WHICH ARE SUBJECT TO ANNUAL REVIEW

The Hirer, or visitor takes full responsibility for their own actions and the actions of their group members whilst using the facility and do not hold The Organisation liable for the misuse or disregard of the Terms / Conditions & Guidelines that are in place.   

The Hirer (or members of its group) or Visitors must not enter the facility if they are showing signs or displaying symptoms of Covid-19.

The Hirer (Club) is responsible for appointing their own Covid safety officer and abiding by all FA Covid regulations in place or that may come in to force.

Key Points:

  • All rubbish bought on to site must be disposed of properly or taken home.
  • Failure to leave the site in an acceptable condition could result in a fine or future match suspension.
  • Facilities must be left secure with electrical and mechanical items switched off (e.g. lights, heating & taps).
  • Hand sanitisers will be prominently located, please make use of these, and wash your hands regularly.  
  • Relevant Information & Signage will be displayed throughout the facilities and must be adhered too.  
  • Failure to comply with any of these terms will result in immediate termination of the booking / use and removal from site.
  • CSNPC will not be held liable for any act of personal negligence if these terms are breached.
  1. Application
  • Agreement for use of the Sevenfields & Southbrook Recreation grounds are subject to a signed ‘Condition of Hire Agreement’ which can be obtained from the Central Swindon North Parish Council Parish offices, their *website, or from the SDFL own website..

The League will:

  • Submit forms to the Parish Council on Monday morning on who used what pitch and changing room so this can be cross referenced with bookings and payments.  

The Council will:

•             Ensure that the grass cutting, line marking and all other pitch maintenance and

                re-instatement work are carried out in accordance with our standards of service

•             Provide and erect permanent adult goal posts at the start of the playing season. At the                            Sevenfields site, the pitch closest to the changing rooms will have the use of portagoals.           These must be put back and locked securely after use.

•             Provide sufficient nets, pegs, and corner flags. One set of 20 net pegs will be provided to     each team.

•             Provide keys / key-codes to enable secure access to the facility

•             No longer provide a Duty Groundsman but are looking to employ a weekend cleaner to carry out post match inspections. Any. Issues arising will be noted and charges will be applied to those teams in breach.

The Club will:

•             Be responsible for and return any keys issued to the facility

•             Erect nets and corner flags and remove at the end of the game, with all net pegs intact and                    responsible for the replacement of the pegs if lost.

•             Brush out the changing rooms immediately after use and turn off all water / lighting etc;

•             Ensure that the changing rooms are kept locked and secure at all times during the match period, and compound locked securely, before leaving the site.

•             That the ground and changing rooms are vacated no later than 1 hour after the completion                    of the match.

A valid receipt and proof of official club position or letter from the club secretary will be required before a refund or re-booking is issued. Before arriving to play, team secretaries should be fully aware of Central Swindon North parish Council’s terms and conditions of pitch hire and make sure all team members and officials comply fully with them.

Kick Off Times

All Saturday League Fixtures KO at 2:30pm, Cup Fixtures at 2:00pm. 

Except for November, December & January – League Fixtures: 2.00pm, Cup Fixtures:  1:30pm. 

Midweek Fixtures

Midweek fixtures are subject to arrangement by the Fixture Secretary with the agreement of the two clubs concerned. Both Club Secretaries must notify the Hon. Referee’s Secretary at least 14 days prior to the fixture.

Health & Safety

Always follow Covid 19 and other HMG Health guidelines when using a Parish Council pitch.

Please remove all litter from around the pitch before you leave.

Defibrillators are installed at both Penhill and Southbrook Recreation grounds.
