The SDFL are pleased to announce a final entry count of 24 teams from our total membership of 27 for the 2022 cup competitions.
The Cup Committee have chosen a Round Robin competition format for each tournament with the top 2 teams from each group progressing to the knock out stages.
There will be 3 knock out stages to determine the winners of the competitions.
Competition Format
The Cup competition will consist of the 8 teams from the premier division and the top 4 teams from Division 1 as of the 7pm deadline on the 12th Feb 2022,
The Don Rogers Plate will consist of the remaining 4 teams from Division 1 and all of the division 2, that had entered the Competition by the 7pm deadline
2022 Cup Competition Draw
A “SPIN THE WHEEL” app was used to randomly select teams for each group, witnessed by members of the SDFL committees via a zoom call. The hope was to stream the draw live but this had proven difficult and as such, the draw was recorded and a copy can be supplied on request.
The Draw below will be entered on Whole Game, over the weekend, and will go across into Full Time for the fixtures to be implemented.
