Richard Sutton’s Ashton Keynes winning streak continues but they were made to work for it by a very spirited and hard working Haydon Wick side as they run out 4-2 winners.
Goals by Nick Gregory, Reece Bowler and Chris Field gave Keynes a comfortable lead but Haydon Wick fought back to 3-2 thanks to goals from Craig Clark and Kasper Molenda including the goal of the game which saw Molenda striking a crisp half volley into the top corner.
With Haydon Wick looking for an equaliser they were over stretched and a goal by Reece Bowler in the final 5 minutes meant Keynes winning streak goes on.
Wheatsheaf progressed to the next round after thumping Highworth Town Development 9-1.
Charley Gillett was the star for Wheatsheaf as he bagged a hat-trick, whilst there were braces for Mason Lach and Clint Lomax.
Ali Little and Sam Bradfield were also on the score sheet for Wheatsheaf whilst Owen Smith bagged Highworth’s solitary goal.
Wroughton Reserves saw off Ramsbury in all Premier Division clash to reach round two.
Two goals apiece for Daryll Chambers and Morgan Watts secured a 4-2 victory for Wroughton, with Ali Mair notching the visitor’s two goals.
James Lovell fired a hat-trick to help see Chiseldon through to the next round.
His triple coupled with Jack Karpinski’s effort helped secure a 4-1 victory over Moredon and a place in the next round.
Ruby Removals won their seventh consecutive game in a nine-goal thriller against FC Dorcan.
Despite goals from Scott Drew (2), Sean Broomfield and Luke Murphy, Premier Division Dorcan were knocked out by the Division One leaders.
Redhouse produced an admirable fight but were eventually beaten 3-2 by Stratton Juniors.
Hosts Redhouse played for an hour with 10 men, but they battled hard and despite a brace from Aaron Hewitt, were narrowly beaten.
Swindon Spitfires registered back-to-back wins as they progressed with a 5-2 win against Village Inn with Kevin Murphy was on target twice for the Division One outfit.
Division One side Swindon AFC saw off Premier Division opposition in the form of Swindon Supermarine DC, reaching the second round with a 1-0 victory.
