Huge congratulations to Pewsey Vale Development who have lifted the Division 2 title at the first time of asking on their return to the SDFL, picking up maximum points in the process.
A perfect record of 16 games played and 16 wins whilst scoring 60 goals and only conceding 14 in the process, is an impressive return at any level of the game. Manager Luke Little was full of praise for all of his players work rate and energy as well as identifying the club’s collective ethos as a driving force behind his team’s success on and off the field this season.
Their most emphatic win of the season saw them running out 10 – 0 winners against a struggling Moredon side thanks to 4 goals from Nathan Good, a hattrick from the teams top goal scorer and Aaron Presley, a brace from Cameron Mackenzie and a goal from Kierron Kiff.
They did have a few fixtures fall their way and picked up 5 Walkover results due to opposition failing to contend the games but nobody can suggest they are anything other than worth winners of the league based on the results achieved.
Team captain Aaron Presley was on fine form all season notching up the most goals for the team with an impressive return of 19 goals from 12 starts. He was closely followed by Nathan Good who pitched in with 14 goals from 11 appearances.
