The cost of Match day officials, for both Premier Division and Division 1, have been set at a fixed rate (plus mileage) for the season ahead and are outlined below. There are also a few additional reminders to teams about the expectations from, and to, officials this season.
Match Day fee’s are broken down as follows:
Premier Division Referee: £30.00 + 41p a mile.
Premier Division Assistants: £27.00 + 41p a mile.
Division 1 Referee: £28.00 + 41p a mile.
Division 1 Assistants: £25.00 + 41p a mile.
Match Day Reminders To Teams
- Match Officials are asked to be in attendance at ground at least 30Mins before the designated kick off time.
- Officials will carry out a series of checks to ensure the pitch is in a safe condition to play.
- Team Sheets are back and they must be presented to the match official along with the full match fee at least 15mins before kick off.
- If a referee isn’t paid in advance of the game starting, the referee will not start the game and the club will be reported to the league.
- Referee must not wear a bib under ANY circumstances. Black is, and will remain, the official colour for all match officials and will remain in place for all cup games.
- Referees do have the choice to wear other colours but this does not allow any Team to wear black.
Abuse Towards Officials Will Not Be Tolerated
Finally, a reminder to all teams that, abuse towards any match day officials will not be tolerated. We know that the vast majority of the players in the league respect the officials and have a good relationship but, one or two players seem to think it is OK to hurl abuse towards a referee.
Any abuse towards any officials will result in action being taken and reported to the Wiltshire F.A.
This is just as true for friendly games as it is for league or cup games. Any player who think it is “just a friendly” and the F.A. will not take action then please think again – cards issued in “Friendly Games” will be reported to the F.A and the relevant action taken.
If you have any questions related to referee’s or want any further clarification, please reach out the referee secretary, Mark Paris Haines
