This year, the Swindon and District Football League celebrate 125 years of grassroots football in our community. As part of our celebration we are introducing a “Hall Of Fame“.

It is very easy to quickly forget people’s contributions to the league and football in general at grassroots levels and whilst we do have Vice-Presidents, we wish to build on our archive of contributors with local personalities from grassroot football in Swindon.

Without the help and work of the army of people who organise and run football teams across the district, we wouldn’t have the successful league that we have today.

We would like to welcome people to submit their nominations for the “Hall Of Fame“. The entrants can be anyone who has played in or been involved with the running of teams or the league over the years or has even been a dedicated support of your local club.

The entrants who are successful will be announced and honoured during our Birthday celebrations on Saturday 6th May, at the Royal Wootton Bassett Sports Association complex.
