Here we are at week 3 heading into the autumn, having played 20 league fixtures and a couple of you involved in County Cup fixtures.
Thank you for your patience, and perseverance in what was a tricky summer with WGS issues, and additional welfare policies. The logistics now in place will make for a safer, efficient, and compliant League that prioritise the wellbeing of your players and supporters.

Cup Competition – Extra Time?
Cup competition rules are in the final stages of being confirmed and one out standing decision is around Extra Time. As a committee, we would like to hear the thoughts of clubs and players on whether you would to see Extra Time followed by Penalties or Straight to Penalties when cup games end in draw.
Please see our Twitter Feed and post your vote here. The poll will end at 19:00 on Saturday
Ref marking – why it is important.
The Marking of referees, is very important, to help to aid their development (see our guide to marking here). They only gain experience by constantly officiating.
When marking a referee and offering feedback to the League, respect for the referee is paramount. The League has a successful mentoring system with a buddy scheme and your comments are taken seriously, and guidance given to the referee.
Your score therefore must be based on the Referee’s overall performance. It is most important that the mark is awarded fairly and not based upon isolated incidents or previous games.
If a decision isn’t to your liking, no abuse should be levelled at the referee or their assistants, with either sarcastic comments, abusive language or any forms of intimidation. Referees will report any abusive language to their RAO and this could result in your club being charged.
With all things considered and you enter a mark of 60 and below you are stating “The Referee demonstrated shortcomings in the accuracy of decision-making and control which affected the game” which has to be justified with a written explanation to the RAO enabling him to follow up with his mentoring team
This is written in SCOR and not specific to this League. If no referee score is entered, on your team sheet, or a score of 60 and below without the written explanation, could result in your club being charged.
Club fair play score
Please enter a score on the team sheet against your opponents. This mark goes some way in deciding the winners of the Fair play award at the end of the season.
England Accreditation
We have somewhere between 60 % and 70 % Accredited clubs. This needs to go up to meet the goal set by the FA of 90 %. Along with Harry Russell, I am here to offer support to get your club Accredited.
Some of you have already indicated you are ready, but I understand how busy you have all been making sure you are compliant to play football in the League.
With this work already done, you are virtually there already, just go into your club portal and get started. Templates and guidance are attached.
