Bulletin #39 – Fees & fines update. New season preparations

With the cost of living, soaring, the Swindon & District League Management Committee have carried out a review on the fees and fines adjusted at the last AGM. Inflation has hit a 40 year high, and we recognise that money is becoming tight. It is getting more and more difficult to raise funds, and attract sponsors, and the number of players, to keep your clubs afloat, so not wanting to see any of you being forced to fold we are making fees and fines reductions from the start of next season, (2023-2024), to factor into your club’s budget.

We are also proposing the following changes to make things a bit easier for you.

PLAYER REGISTRATIONS

Registration Forms will no longer be supplied. Register your players through the WGS portal, with the following requirements, FAN, photograph, email, and date of birth.

Our registration Secretary is there to help, and you can also use the helpful FA guides (just type Player REGISTRATION guide in your browser).

The £3 registration fee will stay, but no longer required to be paid in advance.  You will be invoiced on 1st September and at stages throughout the season with 14 days to pay.

PLAYER ID ON MATCH DAYS NEXT SEASON 2023-2024

Team sheets will still be supplied free of charge, but the request for a team photograph to be supplied with the team sheet has been removed. Although a few of you regularly supplied them the majority could not be motivated to do so, and it is taking up a lot of time to follow up each week.

Please submit any alternative method that we can put forward for discussion at the AGM?

Timely reminders.

Rule 10. If you are re-joining the District League next season please complete and return the membership form attached to the League Secretary, and make full payment by 31st May 2023. If you want to re-enter your second team, use the same membership form. There is no charge for their membership, but the £25 Cup entry fee must be paid

If you want to enter a new second team next season, please use the form attached. A £15 application fee, together with a £50 deposit, and £25 Cup fee must be paid.

If you know of any teams that may want to join please give me their details and I will supply an introductory pack to them?

Rule 11A If you are not re-joining the District League next season, please notify me, and why, in writing, by the 31st March 2023.

Rule 22B If you are considering applying for promotion to the Wilshire Senior League via the Pyramid please carefully read through the attached document “Applying for Senior League promotion”, and complete the Expression of Interest Form attached.
