Match report by Blunsdon FC
Blunsdon’s penultimate pre season game of the 2019/20 campaign saw them emerge emphatic winners putting 16 goals past Swindon and District side Bakers Arms without reply.
A ruthless first half saw Blunsdon score an incredible 10 goals against Bakers, Kane Wheatley scored 4, Nick Craft completed his hat-trick, Harry Hillerby hit a brace and Zach Ockwell also got on the score sheet. An absolutely sensational first half from Blusndon in which you can only imagine Bakers wanted the ground to eat them up.
Bakers improved slightly second half and keep Blusndon at bay for the first 10 minuets until a handball in the box resulted in a penalty that Kane Wheatley converted brilliantly. Kane also went on to score another goal and complete a second half brace which was also his 6th goal of the game.
Nick Craft also scored a second half hat-trick to go with his first half hat-trick which meant he also got 6 goals in total and the scoring was completed with a diving header from experienced midfielder Dave Young.
Blunsdon were ruthless from start to finish with some sensational football on display tonight. Blusndon had manager Ian Rosewell on the bench tonight but opted not to use him.
MOTM was a very hard decision with a number of candidates, Max Harrison-Tosatto needs a mention, so does Jack Newton but this time the award goes Nick Craft who was sensational from start to finish, 6 goals from the right wing, didn’t stop running all game, looked accomplished in defence aswell as attack, great performance all round, well done Nick.
Some down time in terms of games for Blunsdon now as they play their final pre season game against Redhouse on Saturday 31st August.
