Membership for 2025-26

To improve our membership management, and to make it easier and quicker for you, all membership forms are now completed ONLINE. Whether you are a renewal, non-renewal, new team, or submitting a membership for a 2nd team, S&DCFL memberships are processed into three different categories.

  • New Team & 2nd Team Membership
  • Renewal
  • Non-Renewal

The online membership form will walk you through a series of questions to ensure your intentions are clearly documented. Should you have any accessibility issues with the online form and would prefer a PDF copy, please contact our Hon. League Secretary.

Whilst the annual membership and cup competition fees have remained the same, the process has changed. So please be mindful of all specific dates and details listed below.

2025-26 Membership now open

NEW TEAMS & 2nd TEAM MEMBERSHIP

The New Team & 2nd Team application fee and deposit outlined below, are due by 31st May 2025. Payments are made to the league via BACs. Please note: If your place in the League is not confirmed at the League AGM your £75 payment will be returned in full to your registered bank account.

TEAM FEES OVERVIEW – NEW PROCESS*

Applicable to both new and returning teams, once each team is accepted into the league for the 2025-26 season, each team must pay an Annual Membership fee (of £25) and a Cup Competition fee (of £25). ** Both below fees will be invoiced to your club immediately after the AGM. Payment is required within 14 days of invoice.

RENEWAL MEMBERSHIPS – SPECIAL OFFER

To recognise your loyalty of renewing your membership with S&DCFL, submit your membership form BEFORE 31st May 2025. In return, the league will provide your team with 16 free player registrations (worth £48), for the 2025-26 season.

All extra player registrations are £3.00 each. Invoiced from 1st September.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)

All clubs MUST attend the League AGM on Thursday 19th June 2025 at 7pm, or incur a fine in accordance with the fine tariff.
Annual General Meeting – Club Elections / League Constitution / Rule Amendments

  • To hear reports from the Committee on the achievements of the previous season.
  • To elect the Committee for the new season.
  • To make any changes to the constitution, including the election of new teams.

NON-RENEWAL

If the League Secretary is not informed in writing by the 31st March 2025, you risk losing your deposit and being charged. (rule 11 applies).

THE GRASSROOTS CODE

The grassroots game has a new Grassroots Code. Formerly known as the Code of Conduct, the Grassroots Code is designed to unite everyone across grassroots football by driving positive standards of behaviour we can all get behind. RESPECT THE GAME

We want to deliver football to the people, for the people of Swindon and surrounding districts, to support and inspire, players to enjoy, with accessible opportunities For All. These principles have driven the Community District League since it was founded in 1891.

Please Play your Part – The Swindon & District Community Football League are certified as an FA Respect League and we ask you as the club officials, to ensure your players and spectators to engage fully with the Respect Campaign and take greater ownership of the Respect Codes.

Please, play your part and always observe The FA’S Grassroots Code (Code of Conduct) for players, on and off the field, and adhere to the Laws of The Game. Display and promote high standards of behaviour. Promote Fair Play & Always Respect the match official decisions. Never engage in public criticism of the match officials, or engage in offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour – Never engage in bullying, intimidation or harassment. Always speak to team-mates, the opposition and coach/manager with Respect.

Remember we all make mistakes so win or lose with dignity. Shake hands with the opposing team and the referee at the end of every game.

We offer administration support to our clubs and will do everything to ensure our game is positive and inclusive. We believe our game should be played with RESPECT.
