As the foundation of football, the S&DCFL would like to thank all the volunteers in our community for their commitment to ensuring a safe and fair football environment. Focusing specifically on open-age football, it is important to have a clear understanding on best practice safeguarding standards when U18 participants are involved.
To further ensure that all necessary safeguarding measures are in place, we’ve compiled a list of best practice points for your club and team to consider. These practices also support the FA’s new 2024-28 ‘An Ever-Safer Culture‘ strategy. By adopting these standards, we can ensure safeguarding in sports provides a fun, safe and inclusive experience, for all.
