Team Eligibility Reminder
Team eligibility in the Semi-Final and Final are subject to meeting SDCFL cup rules and conditions. In addition, for Semi-Final and Final eligibility, a player may compete, as long as he has taken part in at least 4 SDCFL knockout competition or League games for his currently registered club during the current season.
If a club has not completed 50 % of its fixtures at the semi-final stage player eligibility will be reduced to 2 matches only but still for his currently registered club.
Again, for the above, ‘named as a substitute but not played’, also applies to the semi-finals and finals and is included in the eligibility criteria.
As a reminder, the assigned match official(s), be they the Referee or Assistant Referee (even if they are part of the SDCFL Management Committee), has NO jurisdiction over player eligibility. If there is a doubt, please contact another member of the SDCFL Management Committee before the game.
We wish all teams the best of luck.
