Week 12 Match Previews

Premier Division

Only one game this weekend in the Premier division sees 4th placed FC Dorcan take on 3rd placed Deers Leap who will be looking to reverse the result from the encounter earlier in the season where Leap run out 5-1 winners.

A win for Leap would see them top the table going in to 2017 but a win for Dorcan would see them replace from Leap in 3rd place and put them 1 point behind the league leaders.

Division One

20161216_fixturelistsDivison One has a number of fixtures going ahead including the reverse fixture in two games from last weekend. Swindon AFC host Chiseldon after their 4-1 loss last weekend whilst Old Town host Stratton Juniors following Old Towns 3-1 victory.

Swindon will be desperate to pick up the win as a loss will see the teams above them pulling 7 points clear and will mean they go in to 2017 without a point.

Old Town United will be looking to maintain their 5 game winning streak and, in doing so, will move them above Juniors who are a point above them in the league.

Core haven’t had a game so far this month and will be looking to for 3 points against Haydon Wick to try and gain some ground on the teams above them in the league. Wick having been held to a draw in their last 3 games will want to improve on those recent performances to ensure they are collecting maximum points from games they control.

Wroughton will be lining up against a Moredon side who have the opportunity to top of the league going in to 2017 if they win, and other results go their way. All of Wroughton’s games this season have had 4 or more goals so this should be an entertaining affair and could be the game of the weekend to watch out for.
