Premier Division
This weekend’s fixtures sees FC Dorcan taking on second in the league Bassett Bulldogs. After their defeat against Swindon Centurians last weekend, Dorcan will certainly be chasing this win.
The Bulldogs will have their own agenda for winning as they currently sit in second place on the same points as leaders Tawny Owl. But with Tawny not playing this weekend and having 4 games in hand, Bassett will be looking to close the gap.
Ramsbury will be up against bottom side Spectrum this weekend in a bottom of the table clash. Ramsbury may find themselves lacking confidence, as their last match was controversially abandoned in the middle of play and haven’t won a game in the league since early February.
Spectrum will be hoping to take advantage of this as they too have been struggling in the league, having only won one match all season.
Fifth position Sportz Central are playing second from bottom North Swindon WMC. Sportz lost their match against leaders Tawny Owl last weekend, so will be hoping to turn their luck around against a struggling North Swindon.
Division One
This weekends big clash is between top spot holders Lyneham and undefeated Old Town United. With both teams in fantastic form, this match up is a must see.
Old Town just scraped the win the last time these two teams met so Lyneham will be hoping to turn the tables on them. Will be an exciting game of football which will have a direct impact on their league standings.
Title chasing Sport4Pinehurst will play Stratton Juniors at home this weekend. Pinehurst haven’t lost a match since early February, will fancy their chances against Stratton, who have lost their past two ties in the league.
Haydon Wick will be hosting Lower Stratton, who after a great few weeks also find themselves also in title contention.
Wroughton Reserves have had great success in the George Thomas/Don Rogers cup this season, and will be hoping to convert that to league success as they take on Core Construction.
Marlborough Reserves are up against Moredon FC in what should be a very tight game. Both teams have struggled to find form recently, so will be pulling out all the stops to make sure they bring home those 3 points.
