WEEK 8 PREVIEW: Table Topping Clashes & Basement Battles

The Premier Division sees its bottom 4 teams facing up against each other in what should be an interesting round of games in the #SDFL.

Bottom side Swindon Centurians Spectrum host Supermarine DC and with the home team 3 points adrift at the bottom, they will see this as a must win game to avoid an even bigger gap opening up.

The other fixture at the bottom sees Ramsbury entertain Swindon Spitfires and with both teams on 4 points, a win for either team will see them gain some breathing space away from the bottom spot.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division, leaders Tawny Owl face an away fixture at Wroughton Res but will be full of confidence after there 7-2 victory against Ramsbury last weekend.

In the first division, the clash of the day comes as 2nd placed Marlborough Res face off against Chiseldon in 3rd.

Marlborough have won all 5 of their league fixtures so far and sit 4 points clear of Chiseldon so a win for Marlborough will see the top two teams pulling away. Alternatively, a win for Chiseldon, will see the top of the table looking very competitive as the league tables are starting to take shape.
